Sephora Colour Pop -up Makeup Store.

You may remember a few days ago that I posted about my heavenly trip to Sephora in France, you can also read that here. Well, whilst I was there, I picked up the most wonderful thing to ever grace my makeup collection. Warning! Overload of pretty about to come your way!..

I purchased the Sephora Colour Pop-up Store. To be really honest I picked this up on a bit of a whim, but once I got it home, I was head over heels in love with it. Normally with anything like this, the products themselves tend to be a little less than satisfactory, but this one definitely changes my opinion on these palettes.

Encased in a black plastic box, the palettes itself looks very smart and classy with only the Sephora name printed on the front. The monochrome design doesn't look cheap or tacky, infact it looks quite the opposite. I love storing this on top of my makeup drawers as it looks perfect just placed on top. 

Once opened, only a small selection of the products inside are on view. Once the middle area of the palette is lifted, a sizeable mirror an more eyeshadows are revealed, along with some small tools to help with the application. On each side of the palette, there are small drawer like sections, which can be pulled out to reveal even more shades which just makes me smile beyond belief.

This shows the palette all folded out and with everything on show. The palette includes:

3 Highlighters

6 Eye top coats

12 Gel Liners

42 Bright Shadows

22 Neutral Shadows

6 Lip top coats

48 Lipsticks

6 Eye, lip and cheek creams

3 Blushes

My favourite thing in this palette has to be the eye top coats. They're just so unusual as they look like an eyeshadow but are powders that can be layered over another eyeshadow to add depth, dimension and shimmer. They essentially transform the effect of the normal eyeshadow that is applied, giving a more 3D finish to your look. The shadows come in a range of finishes, these being, matte, frost, pearl shimmer and glitter. All extremely pigmented and long lasting, they're extremely good products.

Tthe lip products are amazing quality, I cannot praise them enough! Usually with palettes such as these, the lip products can be really poor quality, but these perform just as well as some of my high end lipsticks and glosses which is a bonus! The lip top coats work in the same way that the eye top coats do as they add extra sparkle, and definition to the colour that you would apply.

Overall, I love this product so much and it really does hold pride of place on top of my makeup collection. I've used this quite alot since purchase and cannot wait to create some adventurous looks with the bright colours.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I'm pretty sure that I'm the millionth person to blog about these but how could I leave out these wonderful little beauties?! I've wanted some of these for a while but everytime I went to buy them, the stand was either empty, or someone had opened them. I finally managed to get my hands on two shades, heres what I thought about them...

I really like the design of these, a crayon like balm stain encased in a sturdy plastic tube. These bear a striking resemblance to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but without the hefty price tag. The silver on them makes them look much more expensive than their drugstore/high street price tag. 

The formula is just to die for. Their soft and moisturising, exactly like a balm, but with all the pigmentation of a lipstick. You can build up to be as intense or subtle as you like, so they're great for those who want to add a pop of colour into their makeup looks. I find that these typically wear for around 2/3 hours before the need to top up arises, but in my opinion this is very good for a balm. Once these have faded, they do leave a lovely natural flush of colour on the lips that makes a lovely effortless lip.

Overall, I really like these products and will definitely be adding more to my collection.

Kiko Makeup: Lips

Kiko Makeup is a Beautiful, small makeup shop in Westfield Shopping City, Stratford. It's great for anyone, wanting bright colours, makeup for a special event or just an update of their collection. I have quite a few products from their but today I'm just going to be showing you some of their lip products.

The lip liners are perfect for those who are first time users, at £1.90 a piece, they're a real bargain. Unfortunately, they do not have imaginative names just numbers, but this is not a huge problem it's just harder to remember them.

The formula of them is soft and creamy, whilst been extremely pigmented. I do quite like filling in my whole lip with these, but used just as a liner they prevent bleeding of lip colour.

The lipsticks are lovely, but there is no variation on finishes. They're all sort of glaze finishes but with more pigmentation. There is a huge selection of colours so you'll always find something you like. However, there is a range of prices for different lipsticks, so this makes it a little confusing.

I would definitely recommend Kiko for cosmetics as they really a great brand. You can find them in Westfield Shopping City or on there website here.

A French Heaven: Sephora

On Thursday I went to France for the day whilst visiting my Boyfriends family in Kent. We went with a few members of his family and boarded the ferry from Dover in the morning, and I had one shop I knew I wanted to visit and that was Sephora.

Entering the shop was like walking into heaven. It was Amazing. Everywhere I looked there was colour, sparkle, everything you could ever want in a makeup collection. There were plenty of brands such as Urban Decay, MUFE and Benefit. But my eyes were drawn to Sephoras own collection.

I was really impressed by there own collection which was HUGE! You can see from the pictures how substantial their products are, all the shelves were full, you didn't have to fight to get to a product, and nothing had been opened unnecessarily or had someones dirty finger prints shoved in. I could have stayed in there all day swatching and adding things to my basket.In the end I held back and just bought a few things, but everything was so much cheaper, so another trip there is definitely in order.

I could live in that shop, and will definitely go back in the near future. If you get the chance to go to Sephora,  definitely go. I guarantee you will love it!

What I Got for Christmas

Firstly, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you ate too much food, drank too much mulled wine, and found some great bargains in the sale! I know that some people don't really like these sort of posts as they think that its a chance to show off. Personally, I like these types of posts, as they give me plenty of ideas about what I can buy and add to my shopping list.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, I'll show you what I was lucky enough to receive....

Firstly, this Pandora bracelet was actually a present for my 18th Birthday, but over time, the charms have been added. I was lucky enough to receive three Pandora charms from my lovely boyfriend, Olly. They match all my other charms perfectly. The three that he got me are the far left ones: The silver and purple hearts, The silver stars, and the purple and white hearts. I'm head over heels in love with them :)

I also received clothes, which are always a welcome addition to my ever bulging wardrobe! My mum is amazing at picking clothes as she just knows what I would pick myself. I also got some things for my holidays later on in the year such as dresses and wedges which have been put away ready for Mexico! 

The black heeled boots and Baylis and Harding gift set were from my Grandma. The boots are just the perfect go with everything boots so I already know I'll get plenty of wear out of them. I also received plenty of perfume, which I was so grateful for as it's one of those things I can never really afford. I got the Jimmy Choo perfumed body lotion which is one of my favourites, Intimately Beckham, and the Ghost Deep Night perfume set. 

I was so lucky to receive such wonderful gifts and spend a magical time with my loved ones.

Lush Cinders Bath Bomb

If you love everything Christmassy, then you will love this! Despite being smaller than your average bath bomb, it certainly packs a punch! 

The scent of this ballistic is Spicy, warm and soulful. I know those are not particularly scents but its what comes to my mind when describing this. There is quite a strong smell of cinnamon, almost the sort of smell that you get at German Christmas Markets in most city centres. Oh and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person who thought of freshly made gingerbread when they smelled this?

When dropped into the bath, it starts to fizz straight away, and due to the size, it does fizz down quite quickly. Lush do claim that this will make popping noises whilst fizzing away. I sat listening to the water and could hear a faint sound of popping, kind of like Rice Crispies, but I was hoping for something similar to an open fire. I know that's a bit expectation.

You can see the popping candy really clearly in this photo, which sort of makes it look slightly alien. I didn't notice any benefits to my skin after this bath, so I did need to apply quite a bit of moisturiser afterwards. It doesn't claim to soften your skin but it would have been nice to have this additional feature.

I did like this bath bomb. I wasn't in love with it, so I probably wouldn't repurchase it again. But overall, it was a fun bath, with a gorgeous scent.
